Partners: ProteoSys AG (PSY)
ProteoSys AG is a German biotechnology SME, focussed on systems biology based on quantitative and differential analysis of protein biomarker signatures. ProteoSys' special expertise will identify first and most immediate molecular changes due after imposing toxic conditions and will thus provide molecular content information for development of HTS methods.
Current FP6 projects:
- Reprotect (LSHB-CT-2004-503257; www.reprotect.eu);
- Mimage (LSHM-CT-2004-512020; www.mimage.uni-frankfurt.de);
- Neuprocf (LSHG-CT-2005-512044)
- FP7: ESNATS and NEUROCYPRES (www.neurocypres.eu)
Key staff involved in the project
André Schrattenholz, Prof. Dr., CSO and co-founder of ProteoSys, biochemist, professor at the University of Mainz, Institute of Physiological Chemistry and Pathobiochemistry; numerous publications and conference contributions in the field of proteomic biomarkers.
Gerhard Schwall, Dr., Head of Proteomics at ProteoSys (since 2001), expert in analytical biochemistry, previous experience in industrial and basic research, as scientist for Unilever, UK, Fraunhofer- and Max-Planck Society.
