Partners: European Consensus Platform on 3R Alternatives to Animal Experimentation (ecopa)
ecopa is a quadripartite NGO-organization that promotes the 3R's at the European level. It brings together national consensus platforms on alternative methods with ‘consensus' meaning that the major stakeholders, i.e. animal welfare, industry, academia and governmental institutions are equally represented. ecopa is active in science, education and ethical issues with respect to 3R alternatives. Through its members (at present 16 national platforms), it has an important scientific and technical expertise to offer to an integrated project on 3R-alternatives.
ecopa is currently involved in several EU projects, taking care of dissemination of results including the creation of a logo, a flyer, mentioning of the project progress on the ecopa-website, its electronic newsletter(ecopa messenger), annual workshops etc. So, ecopa will offer to the ESNATS project a network system that enables diffusion of information all over Europe.
