Embryonic Stem cell-based Novel Alternative Testing Strategies


ARTTIC SASFounded in 1987, ARTTIC is the leading European group dedicated to consultancy and management services in international R&D partnerships.

Over the last 20 years ARTTIC has successfully supported over 120 projects with consultancy and project management services and gained an unequalled experience and skills in the set-up and management of international R&D collaborations. The staff of ARTTIC is fully dedicated to these activities and has a unique expertise in the various operational management tasks.

ARTTIC supports international project consortia in various R&D domains: information and telecommunication technologies, transports, education, health, bio-technologies, automotive industry, aeronautics, industrial technologies, new materials and microelectronics.

ARTTIC is the partner responsible for project management in several large FP6 integrated projects (IP). In the LIFE programme, ARTTIC is involved in four IPs: FunGenES (Functional Genomics in Engineered Embryonic Stem cells), RIGHT (RNA Interference Technology as Human Therapeutic Tool), INNOMED (new approaches for accelerated development of new, safe and more effective medicines) and INCA (role of chronic infections in the development of cancer). ARTTIC is also involved in the NOE CONTICANET (rare cancers) and four STREPS: TargetHerpes, CRYSTAL (cryopreservation of stem cells), COBRED (Colon and Breast cancer Diagnostics), SIMAP (modelling and simulation of the MAP kinase pathway). In FP7, besides ESNATS, ARTTIC is also involved in one STREP in the HEALTH programme - Metafight (Understanding and fighting metastasis via dissection of the Core Invasive Machinery).

In ESNATS, ARTTIC (France) is in charge of the project management (WP0.6) and provide methods, tools and operational support for the collaboration within the consortium.

ARTTIC supports the consortium in the daily management and administrative tasks to ensure the collaboration is working, the project is properly monitored and decisions and actions are prepared and taken according to the project progress. An important aspect of the role of ARTTIC is also to simplify as much as possible the work of the researchers and to develop a collaborative team spirit inside the consortium.

Key staff involved in the project

Sara SkogsäterSara Skogsäter has a wide experience of management of complex and large projects. After 3.5 years as a Project Management Consultant in different IT and organisational projects at French and European level, she joined ARTTIC in January 2005 as a Project Manager. She has been involved in the set up and management of many EC funded projects, mainly in the health, ICT and transport fields. She successfully handles different aspects of the project management activities and provides support to various consortia with the organisation, administrative, financial and legal matters. Since arriving at ARTTIC, Sara has managed the ARTTIC project office for a large integrated project in the RNAi research field and in the field of railway research. She has also participated in the set up of several FP6 and FP7 proposals in the Health, ICT and transport sectors.
In ESNATS, Sara is the Project Office Manager.

Dominique Wasquel Dominique Wasquel is a project administrator within ARTTIC since 2003. She is experienced in the financial administration of EU projects within the 5th, 6th and 7th framework programmes, which includes the consolidation of cost statements, their verification against EC rules and follow-up of payments and the distribution of participant shares. The support to the preparation and follow-up of consortium meetings, and project reviews is part of her responsibilities. Dominique is also responsible for the coordination of the preparation and consolidation of management reports.
In ESNATS, Dominique Wasquel works as Project Office Administrator.

Annette RingwaldAnnette Ringwald is Senior Consultant at ARTTIC. Since joining ARTTIC in 2001 during the EU's 5th framework programme for research and development, she has successfully set up and managed several big projects in the field of Life Sciences / Health, amongst which the Integrated Project "FunGenES".
In ESNATS, Annette Ringwald is the Senior Consultant of the Project Office, bringing in her expertise in complex project management issues: solution of issues related to partnerships, contractual aspects, including IPR, methods, tools, quality assurance, etc.
